The IHL A league is for the player who has very minimal playing experience. The majority of the players in this league are on average D+ to C- caliber. This league is not for the player whose caliber of play is Tier 2 or Tier 1 Elite. This league is structured to give each player the opportunity to improve so that they would be able to move up to the Tier 3 league or the over 35 league. Some of these teams in this league are co-ed. Each team may roster 3 Tier 3 players. League play is on Sunday afternoon and evening. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.
