Adult Hockey

The coolest spot in the sun! Germain Arena adult hockey league is one of the largest league(s) in the state with over 60 teams and over 700 participants playing in a structured well organized recreational league that operates year round. We offer the best in non-checking recreational hockey. With our three sheet facility we are able to expand and grow every year for a great hockey experience. All games are played under USA hockey playing rules.

Adult Over 40 League

The Over 40 league is for the veterans who are looking for a competitive game of hockey but in a relaxed atmosphere. The Over 40 player is of all abilities and skill level varies. League play is on Thursday nights. This league is for participants who are 40 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA Hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Over 30 League

Over 30 league is for the veterans who still love the game. All player abilities are welcome to play. Skill level range from A level to C level. This league is one of our most popular leagues to play in. Great sportsmanship, camaraderie, and an overall great hockey experience. League play is held on Monday nights. This league is for participants who are 30 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Intermediate C 2 League

The IHL C 2 League is strictly for beginners who have little or no experience playing organized hockey. This league is also co-ed. This league is strictly for novice caliber players. No other players who play in any of the other leagues are permitted to play. We encourage players to move up once their skills have developed enough to play IHL. This league encourages players who have never played before to start in our hockey academy that is held from September thru May. League play is on Sunday afternoon and evening. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

 

Adult 4 on 4 League

The purpose of the 4 on 4 league is to help each player enhance and develop the skills of stick handling, passing, and seeing the open ice. It is also a great tool for conditioning. Goaltenders could see up to 30 shots a game. This is a draft league. The hockey director will rank players and pick four captains. The captains will draft the players. Players will be ranked according to abilities. Players will be distributed evenly among teams based on abilities.

Adult Intermediate A League

The IHL A league is for the player who has very minimal playing experience. The majority of the players in this league are on average D+ to C- caliber. This league is not for the player whose caliber of play is Tier 2 or Tier 1 Elite. This league is structured to give each player the opportunity to improve so that they would be able to move up to the Tier 3 league or the over 35 league. Some of these teams in this league are co-ed. Each team may roster 3 Tier 3 players. League play is on Sunday afternoon and evening. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Intermediate B League

The IHL B league consists of players with only Novice hockey league experience. This league targets the recreational player who has only been playing hockey for a couple of years. This league is a great learning tool to help promote each player’s abilities. At this early stage in a player’s adult hockey experience we like to have this league as balanced as possible by the player’s abilities. As players develop they are encouraged to move up to the IHL A League. League play is on Sunday afternoon and evening. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Intermediate C 1 League

The IHL C 1 League is strictly for beginners who have little or no experience playing organized hockey. This league is also co-ed. This league is strictly for novice caliber players. No other players who play in any of the other leagues are permitted to play. We encourage players to move up once their skills have developed enough to play IHL. This league encourages players who have never played before to start in our hockey academy that is held from September thru May. League play is on Sunday afternoon and evening. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Tier 2 League

The Tier 1 Elite league accommodates the player who still plays at a high level. The players in this league on average are B+ and A+ players with playing experience at the high school and division 3 college levels AND Pro. Players in this league are competitive. League play is on Tuesday nights. This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult Tier 3 League

The Tier 3 league consists of players who have limited playing experience. These players on average are C and C+ players with only recreational playing experience. You may roster up to 3 Tier 2 players per team. NO TIER 2 ELITE PLAYERS PERMITTED TO PLAY IN THIS LEAGUE. Speed and pace of this league is at a moderate level. League play is on Wednesday nights .This league is for participants who are 18 years of age or older. All games are no-check. All of the players must be USA hockey certified before they can play.

Adult League Rules


General Information

Leagues consist of the following:

  • Three 12 minute stop time periods
  • 13 to 16 game season includes playoffs
  • All rosters are checked to ensure fair play
  • Rosters are frozen after the 7th league game
  • Jersey’s provided if a team does not have them
  • Kegger Kup championship picture
  • Team name engraved on Kegger Kup
  • Early bird team entry fee incentives
  • USA certified Referees
  • Game times are always on time
  • Overtime games in regular season and postseason

 

Seasons

League Play is divided into three seasons:

Fall: September – January
Winter: January – May
Summer: May – August
